NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION IN SPECIAL CONSULTATIVE STATUS WITH THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL OF THE UNITED NATIONS

1st SUA Youth Academy study session on Identity, Politics & Leadership in Germany (4-6 March 2011)

DSC01880From 4-6 March 2011, the SUA Youth Academy will hold its first international event in the Aramaic language on “Aramean Identity, Politics and Leadership” at the Suryoyo Sat studio in Gütersloh, Germany.

The event gives 50 young Arameansfrom the Netherlands, Belgium, France and North Germany a rare opportunity to be trained in Aramean identity, politics and leadership. The SUA Youth Academy has generated great interest among the youth. Therefore, this event will also be held in Sweden; in South Germany for southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria; in the USA; and in Australia.


SDC13308The event will be held over the weekend and is made of four (4)-hours sessions each day, consisting of a lecture, documentary and workshop. Youth attending will be given ample time and opportunity for questions and interaction. Additionally, on Saturday evening there will be a hago for the participants with Gudo d-Tedmur and its lead singer Aydin Saliba, during which one can relax, socialize and network.
