OPEN LETTER TO THE ARAMEAN (SYRIAC) PEOPLE: URGENT CALL TO INVEST TOGETHER IN SYRIA QUESTON!

Our dearest fellow countrymen,

We should like to draw your urgent attention to read this letter carefully. It is a wake-up call to all of us. We must realize the situation in the Middle East and decide how we can adequately respond to it.

It is no news to you why, how and with what devastating consequences the majority of our people have already escaped the lands of our ancestors in Southeast Turkey and Iraq in the last decades.

Urgent Request to Free Aramean Refugees From Polish Detention Center

URGENT REQUEST TO FREE FROM POLISH DETENTION CENTER EIGHT (8) ARAMEAN CHRISTIAN REFUGEES FROM SYRIA

The Syria crisis has led to a huge influx of Aramean (Syriac) Christians from Syria who try to seek shelter in Europe. On their difficult journey towards safety, many of of them have been imprisoned. Hence we appeal to you, as Polish politicians, and ask for your urgent help in getting eight (8) of these refugees (i.e. two [2] families) released from the following guarded detention center in Poland:

On behalf of the Syriac Universal Alliance (“SUA”), I wish to express the honor of receiving You and the distinguished members of the Turkish delegation on Sunday, 4 December 2011, at the Aramaic Association of St. Peter and Paul in Cologne, Germany (Aramaic is the equivalent name for Syriac, Süryani in Turkish; see “Attachment 1”).
