Congratulations on Your Election as the 46th U.S. President
Your Excellency,
Dear Mr. President Biden,
On behalf of the World Council of Arameans (Syriacs) and its national member federations across Europe, America, Australia and the Middle East, we wish to congratulate you on your inauguration as the 46th President of the United States of America.
Your messages of unity, mutual understanding and empowering marginalized groups in society are encouraging. We are hopeful that your administration will be eager to listen to our stories.
As the native people of Southeast Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, we are slightly recovering from conflicts and wars that have destroyed our societies, demography and cultural heritage. Today, we struggle hard to protect our waning presence at home and our endangered culture, including our dying Aramaic language that was also the mother tongue of Jesus Christ.
With your eight-year-long experience in the White House, we are optimistic that you are determined to end ongoing conflicts, specifically to restore peace and security in Syria and Iraq.
We look forward to engaging with your administration to contribute to a more unified America, a more peaceful Middle East and a more righteous world for targeted, affected and vulnerable groups like the Arameans – one of the world’s ancient nations and first Christians.
We sincerely wish you and your administration good health, wisdom and every success.
