"Sayfo: a Forgotten Genocide" premières in the Netherlands

Yesterday, on April 20, 2015 the documentary “Sayfo: a Forgotten Genocide” premiered before a full movie theatre of descendants of Aramean genocide survivors. The premiere, which was produced by the Evangelical Broadcasting in cooperation with the World Council of Arameans (Syriacs) came one day before the documentary aired on the Dutch national television (click here).
The audience held op signs that read: “We survived”
Before the premiere, Mr. Erwin Ilgün, chairman of the Aramean Federation in the Netherlands, shared his experiences in Tur `Abdin with the documentary makers.
The audience engaged in a Q&A with Mr. Johny Messo, President of the WCA, and the documentary makers, Mr. Joris Postema and Mr. Hans Busstra.
After the premiere, Mr. Daniyel Demir, chairman of the Aramean Federation in Germany, thanked the producer, Mr. Floor Koomen for creating the compelling documentary with his team.
