Aims & Mission
During the 1st International Aramean Young Leadership Training Programme (2011) at the EYC in Strasbourg (France), the participants shared their expectations and goals for the Academy. It was they who greatly contributed to the draft of the aims and the mission statement of the WCA YA.
The aims of the WCA Youth Academy are:
- to build a solid socio-political and cultural infrastructure for the Aramean youth in the Diaspora;
- to connect with the youth and make them aware of the importance of the WCA’s mission and activities;
- to promote the United Nations, Council of Europe and European Union values, charters, conventions, resolutions, treaties and values, particularly if they apply to the Arameans;
- to find talented young leaders with the intention of training, preparing and guiding them as the next generation of leaders in the local, national and international organisations of the Aramean people.
“The WCA Youth Academy is committed to educate the Aramean youth about its identity and equip them with modern leadership skills, within the framework of the core values and charters of the United Nations, the European Union and the Council of Europe, in order to prepare them as the envisioned Aramean leaders of the future.”

How can you help WCA YA
f you are (were) a participant of a WCA Youth Academy event, kindly share your impressions, experience and newly acquired knowledge. Talk to your friends about it and contact your local association to multiply what you have learned.
Are you an (educational) organisation that wishes to cooperate with the WCA Youth Academy? Let us meet and brainstorm together about cooperation. Kindly contact us by using the contact form.
The WCA Youth Academy has many and wide-ranging expenses to finance its global events. Financial support is therefore critical as we operate on a voluntary and non-profit basis. Do you, therefore, agree with the crucial existence of the WCA Youth Academy and its mission, and do you wish to help with the intention to further develop and expand the Academy? Please consider these options:
1. Can you provide the Academy with items needed to organize a successful event? For instance, hotel owners can provide lodging or conference rooms against special prices, restaurant owners can sponsor lunch and/or dinner, and a printing office can subsidise our material.
2. You can donate occasionally or a recurring fixed amount to support the Academy financially. For donations, please use the WCA bank account and add the following description: “Donation to WCA Youth Academy.”In whatever form you are able or willing to help the WCA Youth Academy, we appreciate particularly the fact that you too acknowledge the importance of the Academy’s existence and work.
The Academy invites all the Aramean youth who want to learn more about their cultural heritage, leadership and more. Let’s build a bright future for the Aramean people by providing its youth with the necessary means to educate them on subjects that concern them as citizens of the world and, more specifically, as stateless and forgotten Arameans who are in urgent need of your support.
