WCA Turabdin Scholarship 2023 is now open!

We are delighted to announce that we will support 15 new Aramean students from Turabdin, an ancient Aramean region in Southeast Türkiye, starting on 1 September 2023! Hopefully, at least 10 more students will follow later this year.

In 2008, WCA established a scholarship program to support Aramean students in Turabdin.

We encourage them to stay connected to and build up a future in the homeland after their graduation. They all agree that once they start working, they will give back to our people either through WCA, its Member Federations, Suryoyo Sat, or otherwise.

Last year, we were able to support no less than 25 students from places in Turabdin like Midyat, Arkah, Midin, Iwardo, Beth Qustan and Hah. This year, we again aim to provide annual scholarships to at least 25 Aramean students.For more, see also p. 6 of last year's brochure.
