NEW - Tur-Abdin Aramaic Online Conversational Course

Do you want to learn or improve your vocabulary and knowledge of Tur-Abdin Aramaic? Then register for our FREE weekly conversational course! Native speakers will assist you if you want to learn how to pronounce certain words or how to express certain phrases in the Aramaic dialect of Tur-Abdin!

Everyone who is interested in learning this fascinating Aramaic dialect is more than welcome to participate in this Online Conversational Course. Whether (young) Arameans or non-Arameans such as students, scholars and others who simply wish to learn to converse in Tur-Abdin Aramaic.

This new language project has been initiated by WCA's Aramaic Language and Cultural Heritage Department (ALCHD) in partnership with the Aramaic satellite channel Suryoyo Sat and the youth organizations in Sweden: the Syriac/Aramean Youth Federation and the Syriac/Aramean Academics Federation. 

The ALCHD's aim is to initiate various projects to preserve, develop and promote the Aramaic language and cultural heritage. Another ALCHD project is the modernization of the Aramaic dialect of Tur-Abdin, an erstwhile Aramean region in Southeast Turkey.
